In 1975, several parents and pastors in the Arlington area who were concerned with the continuing moral decay of the public school system, began Arlington Christian School (A.C.S.). The school was formed as a non-profit corporation on May 6, 1975, to provide Biblically based, interdenominational education for grades K-12

ACS has a history of using a compatible and comprehensive variety of Christian curriculum that is both teacher and student "friendly". The ACS Curriculum Committee researches and studies available Christian material, making subsequent recommendations to the Board of Directors on their findings. They are looking for the strongest and best texts, workbooks, and tools available in each subject and grade level. This committee is made up of teachers, parents, curriculum specialists, administration, and board representatives. They have found that each publisher/publication has its strengths and weaknesses. This method takes time and work, but has proven effective over the years

In 1975 Arlington Christian School was established so that Christian families could choose quality education which would honor God, apply the truth of Scripture and teach traditional family values. Grades Kindergarten through 12th are taught by likeminded Christian faculty with the purpose of preparing thinking students for service in the Kingdom of God.

This purpose continues, respecting the differences that exist within an interdenominational community of believers who find unity in our statement of faith.

Needs vary amongst our patrons. Our mission is to serve each family to the greatest extent possible taking into consideration every economy. Arlington Christian School is self-supporting, governed by a volunteer, self-perpetuating Board of Directors who meet regularly as the executive arm of the ministry.

I. We believe in the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

II. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

III. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

IV. We believe in the reality and personality of Satan as the enemy of Jesus Christ and the one who deceives the whole world.

V. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

VI. We believe that salvation from everlasting punishment and entrance into a state of fellowship with God is secured only by personal belief that Christ "bore our sins in His own body" on the cross, and by a definite receiving of Christ, in the person of the Holy Spirit, into one's inner being.

VII. We believe in the sinless life, in the miracles and the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord. We believe in His ascension into Heaven and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.

VIII.We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, bodily return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

IX. We believe it is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit, being separated from sin and the world and fully consecrated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service.

X. We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a spiritual organism of born again believers. We believe that all Christians are called to witness for Christ before all people by life and word. Believers are to personally study the Bible through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit to the end that each becomes spiritually mature and fulfills God's special purpose in his or her life.
