Artpace invites you to take advantage of our exciting free tour program.  Our tours happen in two parts, first with an initial site visit, and second with a tour at Artpace.

Part One: Site Visit
Tours begin with a site visit on Mondays or Tuesdays .  During this time, a trained Artpace Tour Leader will come to your classroom and introduce students to Artpace and contemporary art through images, dialogue, and a short creative project.

Part Two: Tour at Artpace
Following the site visit, your class will come to Artpace for a two-hour tour on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 10am-12pm.  During this tour, your students will explore Artpace galleries with a Tour Leader, and then participate in a creative project in our Student Studio.  Once the tour has ended, your students may enjoy lunch and a spectacular view of downtown from our rooftop patio. With notice, Artpace can provide boxed lunches for $7 per meal.

Artpace believes that every child in San Antonio should have a chance to discover contemporary art, which is why our tours are completely free .  Bussing assistance is available; just request that a Transportation Reimbursement Form be included in your confirmation packet when you schedule a tour.
