Black Pine Animal Park is a 501c3 non-profit sanctuary home to over 86 exotic animals. A visit to Black Pine is different from a regular zoo because the animals have all been hand-raised and not fearful or "bored" with people. Visitors are asked to refrain from making animal noises, running, or otherwise "taunting" animals, which allows observation and interaction with animals that are curious, social, and more interested in people. Volunteers are on site daily to provide guided tours, carry out animal enrichment activities, and answer guest questions. Visitors will often witness keepers doing daily chores and can ask questions to learn more about animal husbandry. The park offers both a volunteer and student internship program as well.

Class Trip Programs
Field trips are tailored to age of participants with focus on science and nature curriculum requirements. All tours are guided by a knowledgeable member of the zoo staff and feature personal introductions to dozens of animals and supervised interaction with non-dangerous animals. Students hear personal stories of animals rescued from private homes and learn important messages about responsible pet ownership
Class Trip Pricing
$.50 discount off regular admission prices for groups of 20 or more. |
