Don’t be embarrassed.
When your dyslexic no doubt there will be a moment in your life where you make a small mistake, you miss something someone else may have spotted when reading over his or her work.
These times can be embarrassing especially in the work place. I’m a Staff Writer, and I have felt the surprise in colleague’s voices, as they happily correct my small mistakes.
This can make me feel low, but then I remember I’m employed because of my creative ability not for my typing. These small typos don’t bother my boss, and I often get praise for my work over my colleagues.
So why do we feel so low when someone targets our weakness. It may feel that they are pointing out your dyslexia. However, they may not even know.
Everyone has a weakness, and there is no need to be embarrassed over a few typos. So hold your head high people, because there is nothing embarrassing about being dyslexic.
