Setting

The camp is held at the Des Moines Y Camp north of Boone, IA along the Des Moines River. Campers live in cabins with physicians, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, counselors, pharmacy and nursing students. One third of the staff members have diabetes themselves and are good role models for the campers.
Activities

Horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, repelling, ZIP line, climbing tower, crafts, ropes course, soccer, volleyball, nature, archery, rifle range and a 2 story slide at the pool.
