Information

Our focus on simplified living, challenge oriented activities and ecological responsibility, supports a child's discovery of untapped talents and interests.

The Camp's founders, Frank and Lucile Henderson, believed that a camp community, under the proper leadership, could provide an ideal setting for children to learn more about themselves and the world in which they lived. Seventy years later, that belief remains a cornerstone of he Nor'wester program.

Nor'wester's extended session length and group living structure remain the primary reason families return generation after generation.
