The mission of the Denver Firefighters Museum is to preserve the history of the Denver Fire Department and firefighting through the collection and preservation of artifacts, documents and photographs. The purpose of the Museum is to educate the public about fire safety and the history of firefighting in Denver from its inception to the present. This is accomplished through interpretive exhibits, educational programming and scholarly research.

Class Trip Programs:
Education at the Station: takes students to multiple "fire safety stops"-interactive learning stations designed to instill fire safe behaviors.
Sparky's Hazard House: uses a cutaway doll-house to teach children about fire and safety hazards in the home.
Tools of the Trade Discovery Trunk: Teachers can rent our discovery trunk that contains a curriculum of fire safety and prevention activities, videos, books, web based activities, supporting materials, and a field trip guide to the Denver Firefighters Museum Self-Guided Discovery Tours: Tour the Museum at your owm pace and discover hands-on activities that will enhance your tour.
Class Trip Pricing:
All programs, unless otherwise noted, cost $3.00 per student with 1 free adult per 10 students. $5.00 for each additional adult. (Rates apply to groups of 10 or more only). |
