Coaching for College Students

College can provide extraordinary challenges for students with learning disabilities and ADHD.  Along with the increased independence comes a vast increase in freedom, conflicting opportunities, and a tremendous range of choices.  The demands on time management, organizational skills, and personal self-care choices have never been greater.

Coaching for College Students can bridge the gap from high school and home life where so much was planned and taken care of for the student without their concern or input.  It can help mitigate the challenges faced in many areas of life.

Self-care responsibility for areas such as food, laundry, shelter and personal hygiene.

Changes from weekly and unit tests and papers to once-a-semester evaluations requiring advanced planning and steady motivation.

Dramatically increased reading and course work load and difficulty.

Difficulty initiating, regulating, and managing social life.
