Exhibits

Major Exhibits:
Falmouth's whaling and maritime history; The early life of Katharine Lee Bates, Falmouth-born author of America the Beautiful. Period rooms of a 1790 Federal style house including Colonial kitchen, Victorian parlor, pre-Civil War doctor's office and more; Two acre campus is open to all for wandering and relaxing dawn to dusk.

 

Exhibits of 06
"Falmouth Inspires: 150 Years of Artists and Artisans" An exhibition of rarely seen pieces from the museum's collection, all by Falmouth artists.

Programs

Class Trip Programs :
1) Colonial Life: An introduction to domestic life in early America, including the making of wool, linen, butter and candles. Also includes foods and spices along with a turn for each child in the stocks.

(2) Falmouth & America in the 19th century. Focusing on whaling and the maritime trades, including the manufacture of salt via the saltworks along the shore. Includes the chance to throw a harpoon as well as what a visit to the doctor would have been like.
