School History

Glenforest School was started by Dr. Glenda Sternberg, former Special Education Coordinator for a large urban school district. Dr. Sternberg saw proven techniques for teaching students with learning differences ineffective in traditional classrooms. She began school to create optimal learning situations for LD students who were failing in traditional settings. The school has grown to a K-12 grade private school, fully accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
