Notes

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Apprenticeship is a nationally offered two-to six-week, residential program that provides exceptionally able high school students with focused, hands-on study and interaction with preeminent scientists, mathematicians and artists. Qualified participants travel to the mentor's place of work or study to participate in collaborative projects. Students reside in local colleges and universities, an experience that provides them with a valuable opportunity to live independently and develop relationships with intellectual peers who share interests

PIPELINE TO SUCCESS
The IEA demonstrates its commitment to the public school system through the Pipeline to Success program. Exceptionally gifted middle school students in the Pasadena Unified School District are identified by the Institute and are offered enrichment classes, Personal Education Plans and other services.  The primary goal of Pipeline to Success is to prepare students for college by providing them with challenging, academic coursework and additional resources and experiences throughout their middle and high school careers

CAROLINE D. BRADLEY SCHOLARSHIP
The CDB Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship opportunity that identifies exceptionally gifted middle school students and rewards them with a four-year scholarship to a high school that best fits their intellectual and personal needs.  In addition, the IEA offers personalized guidance during the school search process

YUNASA INSTITUTE FOR THE GIFTED
Yunasa provides exceptionally able middle school students with a week long, residential summer experience.  The program is designed to serve highly gifted youngsters ages 8 to 14 who are engaged in a middle school curriculum and to teach them to balance their intellectual gifts with their emotional, social, spiritual and physical development through self reflection and personal application.  Yunasa also offers an Emerging Leader Program for returning campers ages 15 and 16 and a Counselor in Training experience for its 16 and 17 year old veterans

GIFTED RESOURCE CENTER
This unprecedented online resource center is dedicated to providing free access to customized information for gifted students, their parents and educators. The Resource Center provides searchable databases that meet the needs of gifted students such as enrichment and summer programs, schools, distance learning programs, academic competitions, scholarship opportunities, testing and counseling services, a glossary of useful terms and additional community resources

CONSULTING
The IEA and its network of mentors, educational specialists and experts in the field of giftedness provide a range of consulting services to individuals and school districts to expand the knowledge base for effectively meeting the unique needs of highly gifted students
