Celebrating its diverse camper population, JCC Camp Kingswood's program focuses on five key areas. These include:
1. Personal Growth-The camp provides a safe, challenging community where enduring friendships take root. It fosters the traits of loyalty, integrity and respect for self and others.
2. Jewish Identity-Jewish tradition and values are seamlessly woven into camp life-from the uplifting Shabbat experience to the practice of "gemilut chasadim," acts of loving-kindness. Staff helps transmit a love and appreciation for Jewish living.
3. Israel-Building a connection to Israel- the land and her people- is an integral part of camp life. The many Israeli staff reinforce this bond. Israeli Day celebrations are a high point of the summer.
4. Protecting Nature-The beautiful and resource rich campsite provides a wonderful laboratory for campers to discover the awesomeness of the outdoors. Camp provides ample opportunities to learn about nature and how to preserve and protect it.
5. Athletics-Sports and athletic competition provide an opportunity for campers to grow and learn about teamwork. A wide-range of sports and adventure programs help campers gain mastery over skills and grow into happy, self-confident adolescents and young adults.
