Exhibits

Major Exhibits:

The Tolerancecenter/Holocaust Exhibit :
Students actively explore the dynamics of prejudice and discrimination historically and today.  Promoting critical thinking and youth empowerment, trained docents lead students through interactive exhibits that address themes such as the power of words and images, human rights, and the history of the Holocaust.  Each student receives a photo passport card that reveals the story of a child whose life was changed by the Holocaust. Three hour tour.  Recommended for 7th grade and above.

Finding Our Families Finding Ourselves Exhibit :
Explore America's multicultural legacy through this inspirational multimedia exhibit.  Students take a virtual journey to America's shores where they can imagine the experiences and challenges of past generations.  Stepping into the recreated childhood memories of Dr. Maya Angelou, Billy Crystal, Carlos Santana, and Joe Torre, students discover a treasure trove of family stories, hopes and dreams.  Visitors are encouraged to investigate their own family histories and appreciate the diversity that makes our society great.  Two hour tour.  Recommended for 3rd grade and above.

New Simon Wiesenthal Exhibit :
In a new permanent installation honoring the work and legacy of Simon Wiesenthal: Conscience of the Holocaust, the Museum presents for the first time ever, a unique and poignant look into the life of this great hero.  A re-creation of his actual, modest office from Vienna provides the setting for a multimedia presentation that highlights significant events in his life.  It also features exclusive footage of personal interviews, conversations and speeches. The exhibit concludes with stories of everyday heroes who are making a positive difference in society.
