Additional Information
Focus: A small collection of fewer than 350 works, the Kimbell Art Museum has become a byword for quality and importance at the highest level. The Museum's holdings range in period from antiquity to the 20th century, including European masterpieces from Fra Angelico and Caravaggio to Cézanne and Matisse, and important collections of Egyptian, Near Eastern, Greek, and Roman antiquities, as well as Asian, Mesoamerican, and African arts.

Cost: Admission to the Museum's permanent collection is always free. There is a charge for special exhibitions. Half-price exhibition admission is offered on Tuesdays (all day) and on Fridays from 5–8 p.m
Class Trip Pricing: No admission fee is required to visit the permanent collection. Exhibition admission fees are waived for school groups who schedule docent-guided tours at the designated times.
Programs designed for Homeschool Students:
Family Educator Mornings
Designed for homeschool students (ages 8–16) and their adult partners, this free program provides structured learning experiences focusing on special exhibitions and the permanent collection through docent-guided tours, demonstrations for “at-home” projects, and art-making activities. Notes:
The Museum does not have lunchroom facilities for visiting school groups. Student groups may eat their lunches outside the Museum on the Great Lawn or under the West Portico.
