Mission Statement:

The mission of Raritan Valley Montessori is to inspire a passion for excellence; to nurture the curiosity, creativity and imagination born within us all; and to awaken the human spirit.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

Our programs rest on four pillars. The cultivation of a passion for excellence in everything we do, both in and outside of school. The development of a strongly held set of universal values, which include self-respect, respect for others, honesty, integrity, responsibility, empathy, compassion, kindness, peacefulness, a sense of concern for others, warmth and a love of community. The development of a global perspective and sense of international understanding. And a lifelong commitment to give back through service to others who are in need.

Notes/School Information:

Raritan Valley Montessori was established in 1967.  We have a Bridgewater location and a Hillsborough location.  Both sites have programs for children aged 18 months - 4th grade.  We are affiliated with the American Montessori Society (AMS), are re-accrediting with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are licensed by the State of New Jersey.  Our approach, based on the research of Dr. Maria Montessori, is whole-child (body, mind and spirit) and responsive to individual learning styles that allow students to work at their own pace.
