School Information:

AMIGOS helps prepare the leaders of tomorrow, while serving rural Latin American communities today. Over the past 47 years, AMIGOS has sent more than 25,000 young volunteers (ages 16-25) to Latin America to work in close collaboration with partnering agencies on community development and service projects.

We offer summer, semester, and gap year options. One summer option offers college coursework.

Tuition: $5130 to $20,500 depending on duration (includes airfare)

Curriculum Highlights:

While in Latin America, volunteers live and work with host families, collaborating with their local host community to work on a wide array of development projects and taking on a high level of responsibility.

School Setting:

Live with a host family in Latin America and immerse yourself in the language and lives of your host family.

Program Information:

Programs are available in Colombia (Barranquilla/Cartagena), Costa Rica (Perez Zeledon), Dominican Republic (Jarabacoa & San Juan), Ecuador (Cañar & Cotopaxi), Mexico (Oaxaca), Nicaragua (Madriz & Matagalpa), Panama (Coclé & Guna Yala), Paraguay (Paraguarí & San Pedro) and Peru (Cusco).

The focus of the project depends on the location you choose and can range from children's rights, to environmental health, to youth leadership.
