Information

The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is dedicated to telling the medical story of the Civil War-a story of care and healing, courage and devotion amidst the death and destruction of America's bloodiest war. It is also a story of major advances that have had a lasting impact on modern medicine. Located in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland and on the Antietam National Battlefield, at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum. In addition to tours and other on-site programs, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine provides in class programming as well such as lecturers and our ever popular traveling trunks.
