||||
New Vista School is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing educational environment while serving the needs of students with Asperger's, high-functioning Autism, and others who may benefit from small class size, individualized programs, and social skills development. |
Our School Values are Patience, Responsibility, Problem-Solving, Initiative and Safety. Our values are an important part of our school culture. Values are displayed prominently throughout the building, and they are discussed as the foundation of success for our students in and out of New Vista. Demonstrating school values is recognized by our staff. We are careful to catch students doing right, and to provide positive rewards for students who model the values that form the foundation of our school community. Our School Values program is overseen by a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. |

Our goal is for every child to find a safe environment where they may have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and develop their social skills. Children find a warm and welcoming environment where many find for the first time, that they are being understood and have classmates that understand them as well. The New Vista School staff is made up of a group of dedicated professionals who are first passionate about teaching children, and secondly, are passionate about teaching their individual subject content and specialty areas. The staff is a cohesive group which utilizes one another's gifts and talents to target the needs of every child in their classroom. |
Although teachers play a key role, parents provide great insight. No one can replace that knowledge. Both staff and parents, and often students, work as a team. It is the hope in combining both home and school knowledge a unique program can be designed so a student will find a consistent link between school and home. |
