Service Description:
An educational, advocacy and informational organization of blind and sighted individuals in New Jersey
Mission Statement: Betterment of the blind community through education, representation, socialization and advocacy
Membersihp: $10.00 per year
Eligibility Requirements: A member must be 18 years of age or older, blind or concerned with matters relating to blindness

Hours of Operation/Schedule: We have quarterly meetings on the 4 th Saturday of the first month of each quarter (January, April, July and October)
Services Offered: Quarterly newsletters, voting privilege at quarterly meetings, membership in American Council of the Blind, 10 ACB newsletters and much more.
Events: Annual Convention speakers at quarterly meetings, dinners, picnics, etc.
Conferences: Annual Convention in October and speakers at most meetings
Fundraisers: several throughout the year at our local chapters and at the State level

We have 5 local chapters, American Council of the Blind of Central New Jersey, Garden State Guide Dog Users, Mercer County Association of the Blind, Monmouth County Association for the Blind and New Jersey Blind Citizens Association. We also have many members at large

We have been in existence since 1943. We have been a voice in New Jersey to institute and support many programs to support the betterment of the blind
