OCS began in 1978 as a vision of the parents of the Evangelical Free Church of Oroville. The school started with just lower grades and small class sizes. Over the years the school grew, grades were added, and OCS graduated many of the top students in the area.

Instruct: We strive to excel in teaching and motivating children to their highest levels of achievement while recognizing the God-given uniqueness of their gifts, abilities, and learning styles.

Interpret: We determine to present all subject matter from a biblical perspective: daily lessons are anchored in the belief that the whole physical universe was created by an eternal God and that life is governed and sustained by Him and that His creation demonstrates His character and unlimited power.
