Preliminary SAT / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test is sponsored by The College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). The test serves as firsthand practice to the SAT Reasoning Test. It also serves a chance to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NSMC). The test itself measures your reading, writing and math problem solving skills. The test quizzes you on material you have learned in class throughout your years in school.
Reasons to take the test: Receive feedback on your strengths and weaknesses for college, by allowing to focus on areas that benefit additional practice; To compare your scores with others across the country, and those applying to your school(s) of choice; To enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation; To prepare for the SATs. |
