YMCA Camp Conrad Weiser is the setting for the overnight camping program for boys and girls ages 6-16. Here we offer the rich, traditional framework of YMCA camping filled with current, exciting activities and events.The camp property boasts a wide range of program areas including two athletic fields, archery and Riflery ranges, three tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a nature center, an auditorium/program center, campfire rings, primitive camping area, craft shop, a large outdoor swimming pool facility, climbing tower, low and high ropes courses, and a riding stable with miles of trails. Sailing, canoeing and kayaking are offered at nearby Blue Marsh Lake.

10 and older arrange their own schedules (with staff guidance), choosing from a wide range of activities designed to challenge campers according to their individual needs. Care is taken to provide instruction adjusted to each child's age, interest, and skill. Instructional programs are taught by trained and certified staff, providing the best and safest possible learning experience for each camper.

To enhance the daily schedule, special events are planned throughout the summer. Camp Conrad Weiser also offers weekly "character councils" that illustrate the YMCA values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Caring.

The South Mountain YMCA couldn't be located in a more beautiful place. Just 12 miles west of Reading, Pennsylvania, our five hundred acres of serene mountaintop land, untouched by the hustle and bustle of everyday life, give the children and adults who spend time here a chance to take a deep breath, clear their minds, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure. The South Mountain camps are proud of their YMCA roots and are rich in tradition. For over 54 years YMCA Camp Conrad Weiser, our coed resident camp for ages 6-15, has played a part in the lives of countless young people. CCW's programs are designed to help young men and women develop confidence, self-esteem, and respect for others and the natural world around them. The same is true for Bynden Wood Day Camp for boys and girls ages 5-13. Bynden Wood offers children the chance to enjoy a full program of camp activities Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
