When I think about this book, I realize it's all about ability and not focusing on your disability. People with disabilities, like Bryan, can overcome obstacles and make their dreams come true. What a tremendous story of inspiration and perserverance. If you have not had the privilege of meeting the Lambke family, this book will make you want to seek them out and get to know them. WOW! What a book! It's been a pleasure and a privilege to watch Bryan grow from a quiet kid to a gold medalist and fine young man. |
One Precious Moment in Time . . . A loving father is selected to be his son's bowling partner and go the 2003 Special Olympics World Games in Dublin Irelnd. Tom Lambke, proud dad of Bryan, truly understands a quote written long ago from the book, The Little Prince: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. I met Bryan and Tom Lambke while at the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Ireland. As fellow Team USA members, they welcomed me with open arms into their circle - a wonderful gesture I'll never forget. |
