Located in Hampton , Virginia , the birthplace of America 's space program, the Virginia Air & Space Center features dozens of hands-on air and space exhibits, a premiere interactive aviation gallery that spans 100 years of flight, more than 30 historic aircraft, unique space flight artifacts and more! Zap! Surgery Beyond the Cutting Edge - May 26 - December 31, 2006
Experience the excitement of lasers, endoscopes, ultrasound, cryosurgery and Gamma Knife technology as you become the surgeon performing minimally invasive surgery, with the new exhibit Zap! Surgery Beyond the Cutting Edge . This hands-on exhibit demonstrates the use of these technologies and the basic science behind them through interactive components. Learn how energy in the form of electromagnetic waves and shock waves are used to destroy tumors, correct vision and break up kidney stones.
