Intercultura Costa Rica

Intercultura Costa Rica was founded in 1993 and offers students the opportunity to learn and live the Spanish language and Costa Rican culture through their different internationally recognized Spanish and culture immersion programs. The school is known for its outstanding academic quality and the only language school in Costa Rica recognized by the United Nation's Global Compact. Intercultura Costa Rica was also chosen by Duke, UNC, University of Connecticut and many others for study abroad programs.

The school has two unique and custom-designed campuses in Costa Rica, one of them being right on the beach in tropical and laid back Sámara Beach on the northern Pacific Coast. The other campus is in the center of Heredia, a historic and vibrant university city, close to the capital.

Programs are designed for all ages, nationalities, and Spanish proficiency levels, offering not only Adult Spanish Courses but also customized programs for families, teens, school & university groups, semester abroad or 50plus. Group classes contain a maximum of 6 students per class.

Students will be exposed to conversation-focused, dynamic, and interactive Spanish classes with our accredited teachers using our communicative methodology with a strong cultural immersion component. Students participate in the free cultural and extra-curricular activities at each location, such as Latin dance, yoga, cooking, Zumba, Spanish club and others. They have the option to volunteer and can choose to stay with local families.
