About Us

Founded by a band director in 1975

American Music Abroad was founded by a high school band director and his wife. Fifty years and more than 350 international tours later, the idea is the same: bring young musicians from many schools together, rehearse them into one ensemble, and let them perform in Europe's great halls and cathedrals.
