Access to Adventure: Explore fitness and fun for kids and youth with special health care needs or disabilities

Support for Families of Children with Disabilities and San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Dept’s Project Insight invite families of children and youth with any kind of disability or health care need to a free event in Golden Gate Park, to experience recreation, sports and just plain fun activities that broaden their vision of what real opportunities exist in their community. Representatives from local sports, fitness and health organizations will demonstrate how children with special needs can participate in a variety of activities, including boating, golf, dance, camps and more!  The afternoon will be filled with fun activities, games, music and a delicious free lunch.  Families and young people of all ages, from toddlers to transition-age youth, can get together for an afternoon in Golden Gate Park to try new adventures they may not have thought possible. Families should register by calling (415) 920-5040.
