Curriculum:
Bethlehem Christian School collaboratively and formally evaluates its curriculum and instructional program on a systematic basis. This regular evaluation of curriculum is necessary to ensure that the written and delivered curriculum is having the desired effect for students. This is a quantitative and qualitative process that involves teachers, board members and parents. Each participating member completes subject-specific evaluation forms considering elements such as subject matter content, social content, readability, instructional design, production quality, and support and supplementary materials. Descriptive narratives are also included. The evaluations are analyzed and summarized by the curriculum coordinator. A summative report and recommendation is then presented to the Board for final approval.
Our curriculum is developed to offer an excellent academic education that meets state and national standards, along with a Biblical worldview, uniting faith and learning. The process of integration occurs in the classroom as the teacher utilizes the curriculum to meet the educational objectives established for each grade. While many different textbooks are used to accomplish our mission, they are simply tools used by our teachers to assist in the instructional process. The most effective kind of Biblical integration is carried out through the Christian witness and testimony of the Christian teacher, who use God’s Word as the only source of truth. Bethlehem Christian School teachers challenge students to think critically about what they read both in secular and Christian publications. We want our students to seek truth, with the knowledge that God’s Word is the only inerrant source of truth.

Computer Capabilities:
As we prepare students for a world run by tech, we make it a priority to teach them with the tools that will allow them to succeed. Both our Upper and Lower Campuses are equipped with iPads and MacBooks or Chromebooks, and all of our classrooms utilize Promethean Boards. Integrating technology into K-12 education allows students to interact with their learning material, have fun with their curriculum, and become excited about the possibilities in their education.
Our High School program specifically uses a blended model, which merges traditional classroom instruction with online distance-learning opportunities. This allows our students to have more options for elective courses, customize their curriculums, and even earn college credit through dual enrollment.
School Clubs:
We are excited to offer a variety of opportunities to meet the interests of our student body!
Between our Upper and Lower Campuses, our offerings include: Yearbook Club, STEM Club, Garden Club, Praise Team, Tech Team, Drama club, as well as art and music programs built into the curriculum.
Our competitive Athletic department offers Basketball, Cross Country, and Track & Field, Boy's Soccer and Girl's Volleyball. For more information on our Athletic program, visit PantherProud.com
Uniform Guidelines:
The dress standard at BCS is not intended to measure spirituality, but to serve as a tool in fostering the academic and character development of students as they participate in the business of education. Chapel, classroom and gym uniforms are required.
