Program Highlights:

Moja was created to answer the call of the community for a dance environment that would provide training and discipline, as well as use God as a centerpiece in the world of dance. Moja is a Swahili word for One which creates a dance formula of one word, one movement, and one spirit. Our Mission is to foster spiritual development through the Arts. Our foundational scripture is Romans 12:1; I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Moja is the best of both worlds. We have combined biblical dance perspectives and the techniques of Dance Education. This combination produces a Ministry of Dance that impacts the hearts of people, granting them a deeper revelation of Christ and Life.

For children, Moja is a dancers rite of passage that highlights strengths, improves skill level, and provides training with an impartation of Gods word in motion. Adults, from beginner to advance will have an elevating, self-discovery, and dance training experience. Dancers will be trained in a Christian environment from instructors with a broad based of knowledge and dance experience. We are exposing dance to people as a lifestyle instead of a class to be taken.

Testimonials:

"My daughter started taking Dance with Moja after we attended one of their end of the year productions. Our whole family was so inspired not only by the dancing but by the anointing that was so evident in the performance. She had danced with another company the year before but it was NOTHING like the Moja experience. Now my daughter dances with purpose, she can explain scriptures, and she prays with passion. This at only 6 yrs old! There simply are no words adequate enough to express the positive impact that Ms. Imani, Ms. Felicia, and Ms. Shemeka are having on our whole family through the ministry of Moja Dance."
