Degrees Offered:

LIM College offers bachelor’s (four-year) degrees in: Fashion Media, Fashion Merchandising, International Business, Management, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising. Associate (two-year) degree programs are available in Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Merchandising & Management. At the graduate level, LIM has several fashion-focused master’s degree programs. A number of LIM’s degree programs are available online as well as on campus.

LIM College is situated in three buildings: on East 53rd Street, East 45th Street, and on Fifth Avenue, one of the most fashionable locales in the world. Home to the headquarters of the garment, cosmetics, advertising, publishing, and textile industries,
New York City offers unparalleled resources, many of which are directly incorporated into the LIM College curriculum in the form of guest speakers and field trips. The best the fashion world has to offer is right at the College’s doorstep, including such famous names as Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, Cartier, Gucci, and Prada.

LIM College’s Open Houses offer students and their families the opportunity to tour the campus and learn about the College’s unique academic programs, as well as the vast array of career options in the fashion industry. Open Houses also include presentations on financial aid, study abroad, and student activities. Current LIM students are always on hand at Open Houses to answer questions.

There are also many other opportunities to visit the LIM campus, including weekly information sessions, Transfer Services Days, mock classes for accepted students, and other special events.


Student life at LIM College is dynamic, with the Office of Student Life at the center of student activities and clubs. Active clubs include the Fashion Show Production Club, the Student Life Activities Board, the Student Leadership Council, The Lexington Line magazine, the Dance Team, the Philanthropy Club, and more.

The Fashion Show Production Club is extremely popular. It produces an annual fashion show at a major Manhattan venue that is attended by an audience of more than 1,000. Another popular activity is the student-run The Lexington Line magazine (online and print), which partners with The Daily Front Row to produce a special magazine for New York’s Spring Fashion Week.

The College also offers diverse cultural celebrations, philanthropic service opportunities, and New York City sightseeing outings throughout the year.

Study Abroad:

From two-week immersion programs to semester-long study abroad experiences, LIM College offers students the opportunity to see the world and experience fashion on an international stage. With programs in Australia, Canada, China, England, France, Guatemala, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Vietnam, and Taiwan, students are given a global education for a global industry.

Computer Capabilities:

Student computer labs (Mac and PC) and lounges are found throughout LIM’s buildings, and the Fifth Avenue location is equipped with two fashion merchandising studios, two 1,100-square-foot visual merchandising studios, as well as a Color and Materials Lab.

Admissions Requirements:

All undergraduate applicants are required to submit high school transcripts, one letter of recommendation, an essay, and the completed application with the application fee. LIM College has a test optional policy for admission, which means students can decide whether or not to submit their SAT or ACT scores. Transfer students must also submit all college transcripts, regardless of intent to receive credit for previous work. International students should review the LIM College website and contact the Office of Admissions for specific additional requirements. It is also strongly suggested that all applicants create an activity sheet or resume highlighting their experience, with an emphasis on business and fashion activities.

LIM College accepts qualified students as transfers throughout the four years. The maximum number of credits that LIM will accept towards a bachelor’s degree is 65. Transfer students must complete the last consecutive 61 credits for BS degree students and 58 credits for BPS/BBA students at LIM College, including the Senior Co-op semester.

Summer Fashion Lab
LIM College’s Summer Fashion Lab is a comprehensive pre-college program for high school and college students. With credit and non-credit courses, students have the opportunity to study fashion at the college-level, experience New York City and test drive life at LIM College.

Saturday Fashion Lab
Saturday Fashion Lab prepares high school students for a career in fashion. Students will participate in four workshops to gain an introduction to fashion, including buying & retailing, styling, fashion marketing & communications and merchandising & product development.
