Located on the campus of Western Kentucky University, our students are fully embedded in the university for all their academics while supported by Gatton Academy staff for all other program aspects.

Admissions Requirements:
- students must be residents of KY
- apply during their sophomore year to join us for their junior and senior years of high school
- have an ACT score of 22 in Math or higher
- complete algebra, geometry, and algebra 2 by the end of their sophomore year
- apply through our admissions process
Mission Statement:
The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky is a residential program on the campus of Western Kentucky University for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interests in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students enhance their creativity, curiosity, reasoning ability, and self-discipline through the companionship of peers, university courses, faculty-led research, and study abroad, preparing them for leadership roles in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Our five tenets guide our decision-making and how we interact with one another, our communities, and beyond.
