School History:

Renaissance College Hong Kong (RCHK) was established in 2006 by the English Schools Foundation (ESF) to serve the needs of the local and expatriate communities in Hong Kong.
To provide parents with greater choices for their children’s education, the Hong Kong government introduced the Private Independent School (PIS) initiative. A total of 10 sites were allocated to education providers following a competitive tendering process. ESF was allocated two sites, one of which is located at Ma On Shan, in the heart of Hong Kong’s New Territories. The government provides private independent schools with a capital grant that covers construction costs. ESF added to this capital grant to provide additional specialist facilities.

Notes/School Information:

Renaissance College in Hong Kong, better known as RCHK, is an all-through top-quality IB World School. We are a member of the prestigious English Schools Foundation (ESF) - the largest provider of English medium international education in Hong Kong. We deliver all four IB programmes: PYP, MYP, DP and CP. From Years 1 to 13, our students represent 40 nationalities with 20 languages.

We have a strong Chinese language programme. Students learn Chinese through either traditional or simplified characters, and we can support preferences about character learning. Technology is integrated throughout the curriculum and Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) are integral to campus life.

We foster an inclusive sense of community where students, teachers and staff learn and develop together. In addition to being challenged academically, students are also encouraged to think critically about how they can make an impact in the greater community. With the IB curriculum, they achieve personal success whilst also emerging as strong global citizens. RCHK creates joyful learning environments led by a community of exceptional teachers who bring out the best in every child by inspiring curious minds.
