Instilling a sense of personal and civic responsibility in students is something we take seriously. Our students learn the value of helping others, and you see that spirit at work at every age level. From packing goods for earthquake and hurricane victims to writing letters to those serving in the armed forces, our students and faculty put their hearts into helping others. By the time our students graduate, they typically accumulate more than the required 75 community service hours.

Computer Capabilities:

Technology is an essential part of a student’s life at NSU University School and is integrated throughout the curriculum in order to further support our students’ path to digital responsibility and global citizenship and prepare them to succeed in the 21st century. NSU University School requires a PC laptop running Windows 10 or later, or a Mac OSX laptop device, with the capabilities of running flash, for all students in Grades 6-12. Chromebooks are not permitted. Laptops are recommended for students in Grade 5.

School Championships:

On average, approximately 15 students are recognized each year by the National Merit Scholarship Program.

The Speech and Debate team is ranked in the top 1% of speech and debate programs in the country.

USchool placed 1st in the state in the Purple Comet Math Competition high school division.

Approximately 30 Middle and Upper School French students competed at the Congrès de la Culture Française en Floride, earning superior and excellent distinctions.

The Robotics Team is ranked #1 in Florida in Design and Programming and qualified to compete at the world-level for six consecutive years.

In 2019, 20 students signed national letters of intent on Signing Day committing them to colleges such as Duke, Loyola, and University of Georgia

Lower School students won 1st place in the central division of the Broward County Council of Teachers of Mathematics (BCCTM) competition.

In 2019, students won over 70 awards for their outstanding art and writing.

Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Swimmers earned state championship titles; Varsity Football team won regional championships; Varsity Boys Soccer and Varsity Girls Basketball won district championships.

Upper School production, Curtains, earned 22 Cappie nominations and 6 Cappie awards.

100% of our graduating seniors are accepted to top colleges and universities around the nation.

Our Middle and Upper School students received nearly 30 awards at the Florida Statewide Chinese Competition.

The Upper School offers nearly 30 AP classes for students looking to earn college-level credits.
