School History:

My students have participated in the Piano Guild judged event for over 13 years. Most students earn superior ratings.
2012 marked our 4th year in the State Piano Contest. The majority of students win at the preliminary and finals events and go on to play in the Honors Concert for an audience of 4,000+ at the Convention Center.
All students judged in MMTA Theory have received ratings of high disctinction
In 2012, my first year entering students into the audition for our MMTA Master Class, a student was chosen to perform and receive a Master Class from Peter Mack during our MN teacher convention.

Education/Awards: I am currently studying with Master Teacher Marianne Bryan of St. Paul (since 2004) with whom I discuss pedagogy as well as students and personal repertoire.
Private Teaching Experience: I have over 19 years experience teaching private piano lessons.

I have had many winners in the State Piano Contest and the majority of students consistently earn superior marks in other judged events such as Piano Guild and Nation Federation of Music Clubs as well.

Mission Statement:

My goal is to provide lessons in non-threatening, encouraging environment so that students will grow to love making music for life. Many opportunities for performance are given to help students relax and look forward to sharing music with others and gain confidence in many life situations. Judged events are looked upon as a learning experience for students as well as myself as an educator.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:

I believe anyone can learn to play and enjoy making music at the piano and that private lessons are especially helpful for those with learning and concentration problems.
