The mission of the National Down Syndrome Society is to be the national advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.

Operates a toll-free helpline which provides information about Down Syndrome. Maintains the world's most comprehensive website on Down syndrome, www.ndss.org. Disseminates information and makes referrals to parent support groups and other community resources.

Over 275 Buddy Walks take place throughout the country each year; Nationwide Education Series
