School Events: Our program uses an app that will allow you to see constant updates for you child. You will know what your child ate, when they slept, and how many times they used the bathroom, and you will see pictures throughout the day. This app also allows two-way communication, so you will see notes, incident reports, and reminders for monthly events, and you can message teachers directly through the app. This is used well to let us know about early or late pick-ups or drop-offs, or just to follow up with questions and requests.
Mission Statement:
Here at Crystale’s Little Scholars your child will learn though play, a crucial part of development, especially for toddlers. We focus on social emotional development and teaching children to work out problems through communication and reasoning, and we use positive reinforcement to correct behavior. We will help your child learn to be independent and clean up their own messes, serve their own meals, put their own belongings away, and take care of daily routines on their own. They will also learn team work and how to work with peers and communicate their wants and needs effectively.
Our setting is preschool-style and we follow the same routine daily: children two and up are in the main group and will play and learn in a structured preschool-style setting. This is so that the children will be ready to move on to kindergarten after attending our in-home childcare. On a typical day we will eat breakfast, do AM group time, free play, have an AM snack, conduct art or sensory play, have outside play, lunch, nap, have a PM snack, free play inside or out, and finally conduct PM group time.

Philosophy/Belief Statement:
Mrs. Crystale obtained her Early Childhood Education Associate Degree in 2012 from American River College, and she also has earned a State Teaching Credential. Working with children has always been her passion, and she worked for a center before she decided to open up her own to the care of children. She loves creating her own curriculum and being able to work with children in their own special ways. Mrs. Crystale and her teachers help her school flourish, as she strives to hire the best and trains her fellow teachers to give the best care. She shares knowledge with her teachers from her years of teaching, and shares knowledge she gains from the Placer County of Education Workshops that she regularly attends.
