Ranked in the top five children's museums in Maryland by CBS Baltimore, the Fire Museum provides 5 unique tours and a Fire Rescue Game to children of all ages, including special needs children and adults. It is the 3rd largest fire museum in the world.

While the 40 fire engines and the many hands-on activities capture the students' attention, we sneak in the history of Baltimore, Maryland and the Urban Fire Service. Tours discuss the social and technological changes that created the modern city fire department and helped grow Baltimore to into the 3rd largest city in the U.S.
After the tours are over, children can dress up in fire gear and climb on a 1938 fire engine, play with fire toys and games in the Discovery Room.
Other subjects include how the Great Baltimore Fire was fought, how citizens use government and voting to improve social and environmental conditions, how to escape a building building and how to use the 911 system.
All tours meet Maryland State Cirriculum standards and goals, including Common Core programing.
