Bricks 4 Kidz
Additional Information
Founded: 2009
Area Served: International
Target Age Demographics: 5-13+
Programs:
Bricks 4 Kidz Technic Build: Age 7-10
Missing your Bricks 4 Kidz class? Join us virtually during this time of social distancing!
Our Virtual Classroom offering Bricks 4 Kidz curriculum uses a virtual desktop application that allows users to build our Unique Bricks 4 Kidz models using virtual parts from our project kit.
Students will learn important concepts of STEAM education by watching a video based on our build and also examine the construction of the model. Students will virtually build the model of the day using our "digital" project kit and following along with the instructor to build the model. Students will construct the project of the day in our virtual builder and later have the freedom to make the changes in their own build (including changing colors and adding additional parts and pieces to change the original design).
Participating in this virtual class will also give students a better understanding of how to work with studio design software such as Auto Cad and interestingly enough, will provide exposure to 3D printing as well.
EV3 Robotics Class: Age 8-12
This introductory Robotics class comes equipped with unique EV3 projects to get you started building virtually! It also includes a number of programming challenges to hone your skills, and even the tools to change the physics engine itself. Have you ever wanted to see what would happen to your robot in the weightlessness of space? Now you can!
Join our virtual robotics class where we will be learning and building with LEGO EV3 and learning how to program the models we build (all digitally).
Never again disassemble something that you created virtually or physically. The Virtual Robotics Toolkit lets you store your creations as files that live on your computer, making it easy to come back to a project at a later date. And you have the ability to be social with your creations! Upload your robots online and share with friends around the world.
Before attending class, students should download the program listed below.
Scratch: Let's Make Some Movies Edition! Ages 7-11
Have you ever wondered how your favorite animated movies like The LEGO© Movie and LEGO© Star Wars were made?… Well, it's time to find out!
Join us on an adventure of a lifetime from the comfort of your home, as you learn to build an epic Space Movie using nothing but the #1 Children's programming Language on the planet, Scratch. Developed by MIT and used in LEGO(R) brand new Robotics kit Spike Prime, Scratch is the must-know coding language of the decade!
Once you've mastered the basics of Scratch by making your own Space Movie, it's time to embark on your own journey by creating your very own movie! That's right! Two movies in 8 weeks and all you need is a computer or tablet with an internet connection. No tools, no parts. Just you, your computer, and your imagination!
It's time to go from Beginner to Jedi Movie Master!
Coding Level: Beginner-friendly; previous experience is welcome.

Testimonials:
"My family learned about the Bricks 4 Kidz last year when my son was in 2nd grade. He took the class at his school on Thursdays. After that, he was hooked! He could not wait for Thursdays. He was guided, encouraged and instructed in such a professional manner. My son always says, 'It is so much fun!' I see a possible architect one day!"
-- Beth S.School Teacher
"My kids love coming here! We always have a great time. The only problem I have is my kids never want to leave!"
-- Natasha G.Parent
Company History:
10 years of STEM Education
From math to architecture, engineering to physics, the world of LEGO® Bricks provides a solid foundation for teaching while using a child's favorite toy.
10 years ago, in a living room floor in St. Augustine, Florida, a mother and son duo started creating and building with LEGO® Bricks. As each brick clicked into place with the next, Michelle realized how much learning was taking place. Having a background in architecture and a love of design, she soon put those CAD skills to work to create her own models for the two of them to build together.
They had so much fun building and playing with the models she created that she decided to offer a summer camp to other children in the neighborhood. Soon, schools started asking for after-school programs and children reached out inquiring about birthday parties and summer camps.
Within a year, she realized what an awesome opportunity she had right in front of her...the opportunity to combine her passion for engineering and architecture with her entrepreneurial spirit, and Bricks 4 Kidz was born.
As the word spread, students, teachers and administrators were asking for programs at their schools. What started out as one mom's playtime with her son has now expanded into a global franchise with more than 500 locations in over 40 countries.
