MEDASSET - Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles's
MEDASSET is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 1988, working for the conservation of sea turtles and their habitats throughout the Mediterranean. It has been involved in conservation and scientific research programs, public awareness, environmental education and lobbying decision-makers. Year Founded: 1988

Description: Currently, volunteers are welcome for office-based work in Athens, including but not limited to assisting staff with projects, filing, letter writing, computer-oriented and archive resource centre tasks, database updating, internet research, etc. Volunteers are to dedicate a minimum of 3 weeks for their stay free of charge at the MEDASSET office in Athens. Working hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The MEDASSET office is located in the centre of Athens and has a guestroom with a single bed, a kitchen and a bathroom with all amenities. Sheets, towels and laundry services are provided by MEDASSET.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: No qualifications or previous sea turtle knowledge necessary, just a passion and interest for the environment!
