First Call for Help’s Mission is to provide a confidential, accurate and comprehensive information and referral service at no fee to individuals in Escambia County, Florida and surrounding communities.

Program History:

First Call for Help is a comprehensive information and referral service of the United Way of Escambia County, a 501©3 organization, governed by a local Board of Directors.

Additional Information:

 First Call for Help is an information and referral center that links community members to their social service agencies. We are looking for volunteers to serve as Information and Referral Specialist, taking phone calls and assisting our clients in accessing the appropriate agencies. 

EXPERIENCE OFFERS:
- comprehensive understanding of service agencies and in-need communities of Pensacola 
- practice in active listening 
- experience calming people in crisis 
- training and exposure to promoting individual problem-solving techniques
