The MCC was established in 1983 and is part of the Maine Department of Conservation.

Our trail crews are out in the field late May through mid-November, and our environmental educators serve year round with both non-profit and state organizations. We have the most opportunities in the spring, summer, and fall, but there are ways to help year-round and we welcome both individuals and groups.
