Mission Statement:
To engage volunteers to strengthen public health, emergency response and community resiliency.
Philosophy/Belief Statement:
The Wayne County Department of Health, Veterans & Community Wellness Volunteer Management Plan will establish roles, responsibilities and procedures for administration of volunteers in a public health emergency. As a component of the WCDHVCW All-Hazard Plan, this plan will outline emergency operational procedures to be followed during the successive stages of a public health emergency in relation to managing and deploying volunteers affiliated with volunteer organizations and with the MI Volunteer Registry.

Created to coordinate volunteer activities that will make our communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to any emergency situation.
