When you step onto our 42 acres of historic farm property in Roswell, Georgia, you immediately feel the difference in our positive, progressive approach to pre-K through 8th-grade education.
While exploring the land that is now our campus, four forward-thinking educators imagined a progressive school and summer camp built on exploration, discovery, and multi-age learning. The property — once known as Franklin Farm — was renamed High Meadows for the 40+ sprawling acres atop one of the highest points in Roswell.
More than fifty years later, students still hike those same trails every day. From that first class of preschoolers grew an IB World School, a working barnyard, and a community true to one belief: children have an innate love of learning, and our job is to nurture that spark.

As an authorized International Baccalaureate® Primary Years Programme World School, High Meadows teaches through inquiry — children ask real questions, investigate, and translate what they learn into meaningful action. Multiage classrooms let each child grow at their own pace, guided rather than rushed.
Our campus is a rich and varied learning landscape that complements and expands the classroom — inviting students into joyful discovery, respectful connection to the natural world, and knowledge turned into action.
Horses and chickens and pigs, oh my! High Meadows is home to dozens of animals — and caring for them is real education. Working directly with the animals, students learn behavior, physical care, egg development and hatching, force-free training, and enrichment.
Learning at High Meadows doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Connections classes, the arts, music, off-campus adventures, and a full Beyond the School Day program give every child space to discover what lights them up.
Our graduates leave High Meadows as highly prepared students — and as compassionate, responsible, active global citizens. They know how to ask good questions, work with others, care for the world around them, and lead with confidence.
