Pepperdine University acquired Cottontail Ranch in January 1997 with the intention of upholding the wonderful work which its previous owners started in 1958. A retreat and conference center during the academic year and a children's (ages 6-16) resident summer camp in the summer months, Cottontail has achieved international acclaim, is accredited and inspected by the Members of the American Camp Association and the Western Association of Independent Camps. The summer staff to summer camper ratio is approximately one credentialed teacher or college student per five campers.
Our Group retreat and Conference Center is ideal for schools, youth and adults groups and outdoor education programs. We are the appropriate location to hold religious, church, temple, school, civic, and group retreats. Cottontail Ranch is great for successful management seminars, sales meetings, workshops, staff development programs, overnight retreats, business breakfasts, luncheons and dinners. Our cabins are winterized, accommodating up to 250 people. Kitchen facilities are located on the premises with a 300-person capacity dining hall, which is air conditioned and heated. The retreat and conference center facilities include: Amphitheater, archery, basketball, campfire area, fire pit, outdoor evening activities, hiking trails, ping pong, softball, swimming pool and volleyball. |
