Discovery Academy specializes in working with families whose children have been failing public and/or private teen boarding schools . We accept students who may be suffering from behavioral or emotional problems, thus exacerbating academic failure. Discovery Academy is also a wonderful option for teens transitioning from other types of treatment such as wilderness education or outdoor therapy programs.

Discovery Academy is a clinical boarding school whose mission is to inspire each student to a quest for excellence in all areas of life. Through an intensive program of academics, traditional and experiential therapy, and life skills training, students are challenged to excel intellectually, emotionally, socially, spiritually/ethically, and physically. It is the aspiration of the program that enrollment in the academy will be the beginning of a lifelong quest for greater wisdom, integrity, insight, and social consciousness. Staff and student interactions are governed by mutual respect in an environment that balances individuality with community. Discovery Academy is a coed, treatment oriented, boarding school designed to help teenagers that are failing at school, at home, and within the community. The Academy offers a unique opportunity for students to excel academically while working on maladaptive behaviors and coping mechanisms.

Located in Provo , Utah , Discovery Academy students have access to two major universities and all of the learning opportunities associated those institutions. Our staff are highly educated and motivated to help Discovery students discover their full potential.
