Notes

Excel Tutoring is a premier in-home private tutoring service that caters to the needs of students primarily in the surrounding Philadelphia county and South Jersey area, however, we have affiliate tutors located throughout the country. We offer a one-to-one tutoring experience unlike any other tutoring service - our tutors are the best of the best and have extensive experience working with students of all ages. Most of our tutor pool is filled with young, enthusiastic, and extremely sharp college graduates who can relate to the obstacles and difficulties most students experience - as they have recently been through it all.

We are a boutique tutoring service that specializes in SAT prep, all levels of Math and English, Science subjects as well as Languages and Study Skills. In helping our students better themselves in a specific area i.e. Algebra we also integrate crucial life lessons into every one of our courses. We feel that it is paramount to teach our students how to make the right decisions, overcome challenges, and approach various problems in a pragmatic and logical way. We not only tutor for a given subject or test; rather we tutor our students in the building blocks of a successful academic career and future.

Finally, we realize that every student is different and that the surrounding circumstances and conditions vary, and so we tailor each of our programs and courses to meet the specific needs and limitations of our clients. This includes learning disabilities, scheduling issues, time constraints, social factors, and special requests.
Testimonials

"The tutor from Excel has been a terrific asset to my family: He has played a critical role in building confidence for my daughter in math. He did such a good job that I now have him tutoring my other two daughters and I have referred Excel to others who inquired about tutoring for their kids."
-Pamela Lehrer 4/2007 Gwynedd Valley, PA

"Matt was struggling with Chemistry until we finally decided to get him a private tutor -- Excel matched us up with Sara who was able to explain the material to Matt in such a way thay he started to show signs of improvement soon after the first lesson ... he was able to finish the year off with a decent grade and is now studying with Sara to take the SAT 2 Chemistry test."
-Robert Snider 5/2007 Abington, PA

Testimonials (Contd.)

"My son has ADHD and his high school was not doing a very good job accommodating his learning needs and so he was lost in almost all of his classes; having talked to another parent about it we were referred to Excel Tutoring - the person I spoke with at Excel was extremely knowledgeable and was able to match us up with a wonderful tutor who knew how to work with Andrew in such a way to minimize the effects of his condition. As a result, Andrew was able to bring a few of his grades up in those classes that seemed impossible before ... Andrew still works with Jennifer and is doing much better this year!"
