Focus:
The mission of the Harbor Defense Museum is to preserve the history and evolution of New York City's coastal defense systems. As the only Army Museum in New York City, the museum has acquired a fine collection of military artifacts from the Revolutionary War to World War II.

Class Trip Programs: The museum has developed a very popular tour program for students 3rd grade and up. It consists of a tour of the museum, video presentation, and outside walking tour (weather permitting) of the historic fortifcation.
