Number of Awards: 5-10 per year
Requirements: The scholarship must be applied to a post secondary school or institution that requires a high school diploma or Graduate Equivalent Degree (G.E.D.) for admission. This could include any public or private: four-year accredited college or university; two-year accredited college; or vocational-technical college or a training institution.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants must be children of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in work zone related construction or maintenance activities, including mobile operations and the installation of roadway safety features. Parents with custody or legal guardianship of surviving children are also eligible.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Due Date: February 15th (same deadline each year)

American Traffic Safety Services Foundation’s Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program Purpose - To provide financial assistance for post-high school education to dependents of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in roadway work zones.
Value - The program is competitive and has a value of up to $5,000. Applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to volunteerism may be eligible to receive an additional $1,000 in honor of Chuck Bailey, who was an esteemed member of the roadway safety industry who passed away in June 2002.
