Service Description: We are an education and advocacy organization for all legally blind and blind Missourians.
Membership Fee: $10.00 a year
Eligibility Requirements: Anyone is welcome to join who has an interest in helping improve the lives of blind individuals by helping ensure security, equality and oppertunities for blind indididuals.
Area Served: The Missouri affiliate covers the entire state of Missouri. We are a national not for profit organization and have state affiliates in all 50 states.
Hours of Operation/Schedule: We are all volunteers and have no set hours. People may reach us by phone, e-mail or regular mail.during the day or evenings.
Services Offered:
We offer support to those loosing their sight or who are newly blinded. We help parents of blind children receive the necessary training they need to be as successful as their sighted peers. The NFB works to improve the lives of the blind through legislation. The NFB offers scholarships every year at our state convention for blind college students. We are here to help blind individuals in any way that we can.
Events:

The NFB of MO has 8 chapters through out the state that meet monthly.
Our state covention is leld each year at the end of March.
We participate in a Children's vision summitt.
Our National convention is held in July.
Mission Believe is a weekend filled with activities for middle school and junior high students to build their self confidence. The parents are also invited for the weekend to learn what they need to do to help their child become a successful adult.
We offer seminars on all kinds of topics form senior citizen issues to new technology.
