Service Description: Homeschooling support group for South Bay area.
Mission Statement:
South Bay Free Scholars is an inclusive homeschooling group that meets Tuesday afternoons at parks in the South Bay area: San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Cupertino, and Campbell.
Although we sometimes have activities outside of park day, our primary focus is to provide a safe place for our children to interact with each other. Our group has little formal structure. However, group members sometimes set up outside activities outside of Park Day.
This list is set up so that we can share announcements.
For security reasons, this list is only open to members who have already attended at least one meeting of our group.
Membership Fee: none
Eligibility Requirements: Interested in homeschooling and meets with our members at least once and seems to be a good fit.
Area Served: South SF Bay area: San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Cupertino, and Campbell.
Hours of Operation/Schedule: Tuesday afternoons

Park Day gatherings and occasional other events!
Conferences/Speakers: Rare - however our Yahoo Group postings do spread information about such related local activities.
Fundraisers: None.
Support Groups: Very informal - but excellent for new, and veteran homeschoolers, especially with varying needs.
